After a rainy spring, summer in the Netherlands brings a welcome wave of warmth, light, and outdoor activities. Dutch summers typically offer stretches of pleasant days (think 20–28°C or 68–82°F), with long daylight hours, colourful gardens, and the chance to take a dip in the nearest body of water.
As always in the Netherlands, when the sun is out, everyone is out! Parks overflow with sunbathers, the canals fill with boats and tourists, and beaches fill up. It’s a season full of music festivals and afternoons on café terraces.
